Kathrine Meyers, DrPHMember, Clinical Translation CoreEmail: kam2157@cumc.columbia.eduKathrine Meyers is an Assistant Professor of Bio-Behavioral Sciences at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Meyers is a social scientist focused on bridging the gap between the development of innovative treatment, prevention, and diagnostic strategies for infectious diseases (e.g. HIV, viral hepatitis, coronaviruses) and their practical implementation. Her work is positioned at the far end of the translational research process: taking innovations from the laboratory and clinical bedside, her team studies how these evidence-based interventions can be successfully implemented at scale across diverse clinical and public health settings. Using mixed-method, interdisciplinary approaches, Dr. Meyers’ goal is to accelerate the adoption of new clinical and public health interventions in providers and patients/end users to maximize health benefits at the population level. To that end, the Meyers Lab collaborates with clinics, community-based organizations, government organizations, and other users and stakeholders to implement federally-funded studies and projects both internationally and domestically. Engaging stakeholders at all stages of the research is a critical component of her research and implementation process, leading to practical project design and findings that are useful to service delivery partners.Additional Links:https://www.adarc.cuimc.columbia.edu/profile/kathrine-meyers-drphEducation and TrainingDrPH, Columbia University Mailman School of Public HealthMSc, Rockefeller UniversityMPP, Harvard UniversityBA, Harvard College
