Precious QuickPrecious is a passionate Case Manager at the nonprofit organization Bronxworks, who has worked with a wide range of populations — from youth to seniors — providing compassionate support and empowering communities through education, benefit support and advocacy. Her journey into public health began in her teens, when she collaborated with the Family Care Center at Harlem Hospital on her first animated educational project, "Vision 2 Zero". This youth-focused video aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and emphasized the importance of medication adherence in achieving and maintaining an undetectable viral load. She deepened her commitment to health education by earning a Certificate of Completion from the Harlem Dowling-West Side Center for Children and Family Services, where she was trained as a peer advocate in HIV/AIDS awareness, sexual health, skill-building, and leadership. Through this training, she delivered prevention-focused outreach and presentations throughout her community. She's most excited for her recent contribution as a Research Associate with CASAH and Howard University’s Global Community Health Lab, where she played a key role in community-centered research initiatives. Her contributions included research consulting, academic co-authorship, and delivering a presentation at the prestigious 30th Annual John P. Johnson Memorial Lecture at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Division of Community Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.Currently, Precious serves as a Research Associate at the HIV Center, where she focuses on the unique health and psychosocial challenges faced by individuals who were born with HIV as they navigate the shift into young adult life.
